A Font Made Of Leaves

Kuala Lumpur-based designer Mei Linn Chan has created a hand-made type series using leaves. Other than cutting out numbers and letters from the leaves, Chan also made interesting, attractive cut-out patterns around them.

A simple but cleverly-executed font, each leaf used is unique—you will find regular oval leaves as well as less commonly seen star- and heart-shaped ones in the series. The cut-out portions were also retained to create an alternative typographic set to the main collection.
